"Trapped in the Body of a White Girl" is the second single released by singer and comedian Julie Brown. It was the first single from her album, also called Trapped in the Body of a White Girl. The song is a typical 1980s pop song but with comedic lyrics about a woman who feels trapped in the stereotypical lifestyle of a white woman. She would rather "get funky," because she is "sick of sushi" and "watching Vanna White is such a bore!"
The song had a fairly low-budget accompanying video featuring a Bride of Frankenstein theme. It received fairly heavy rotation on MTV. The single was released in three formats: 12" and 7" vinyl record and cassette single.
